Hot and sexy Jared Leto is the new singing sensation in town. Strumming his guitar and singing his way into the hearts of alternative rock fans, the 36-year-old gorgeous actor, together with his band 30 Seconds to Mars, is now starting to make a name in the music business.
Aside from his movie career, this hot and sexy celebrity is also busy being the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and sole songwriter of his alternative band. He also directs music videos under the alias of Bartholomew Cubbins.
Jared and his brother Shannon formed the band in 1998. So far, they have released two albums: the self-titled debut 30 Seconds to Mars (2002) and A Beautiful Lie (2006). They began as an opening act for other bands and started their first ever headlining tour, Forever Night Never Day, in March 2006. In May 2007, they started touring Europe, performing as an opening act for Linkin Park.
Born in Louisiana, Jared moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to pursue acting. After a couple of years, his first break came when he landed a role in the television teen drama My So-Called Life, opposite Claire Danes. When the show ended in 1995, the hot and sexy actor appeared in several films such as How to Make an American Quilt (1995), Urban Legend (1998), The Thin Red Line (1998), Fight Club (1999), Girl Interrupted (1999), and American Psycho (2000).
In 2000, Jared garnered more critical praise with his portrayal of a heroin addict in the film Requiem for a Dream. It was then followed by films such as Panic Room (2002), Alexander (2004), Lord of War (2005), and Chapter 27 (2007). In the latter film, he played John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, and gained more than 60 pounds for the role. The hot and sexy actor's upcoming project is a sci-fi romantic drama film, Mr. Nobody, due this year.
